Elon Musk’s mom says women presidents would ‘care about their children’ and avoid war after he tweets about drones being the future of combat

Associated Press

  • Elon Musk’s mom, Maye Musk, tweeted “we could have women presidents who don’t want to go to war.”
  • It was in response to a tweet by Elon, saying that the future of war is drones.
  • “They care about their children,” Maye added.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s mom, model and dietitian Maye Musk, responded to her son’s tweet about drones being the future of war on Friday, suggesting on Twitter that there should be a female president because they wouldn’t go to war and “care about their children.”

“Future wars are all about the drones,” he had tweeted out earlier. “Human crews of planes or tanks have no chance.”

“Or we could have women presidents who don’t want to go to war,” his mother said in a quote tweet. “They care about their children.”

This isn’t the first time that Maye has pushed back on one of her son’s tweets.

In May, he tweeted “If I die under mysterious circumstances, it’s been nice knowin ya,” to which his mother  responded, “That’s not funny.”

Most of the time, however, she can be seen celebrating her childrens’ work, or even coming to their defense.

In an interview with Insider last year, she talked about raising her children.

“I think I was strict, and they tell me I was a pushover,” she said, in response to a question of what she thinks the best gift is she gave her children. “So there you go. I think being polite and considerate of others, and doing good for others. I think they saw that. As a dietitian, they saw me doing that. And they all do good things for others.”

Elon Musk himself has nine children. Insider’s Julia Black reported this week that the tech billionaire quietly  had twins last November with Shivon Zilis, who is a top exec at one of his his companies, Neuralink.
