The historic building, owned by global hospitality company Aman, only has 22 condos. The remainder of the suites are reserved for Aman’s hotel guests.

The hotel won’t open until August, but one of the suites has already been claimed by an anonymous buyer in the whopping $74.34 million deal. The “Jala Penthouse” — which takes up the entire 20th floor — is a palatial 6,791-square-foot property.

It has its own elevator lobby which opens straight into the foyer. Other elevators also give residents access to the building’s hotel, three-floor spa, and members-only club.

Inside the plush home, there are four bedrooms, a large living room, a dining room, a kitchen with a den and pantry, powder rooms, and a laundry room.

Besides the surplus of rooms and space, there are amenities the average apartment renter in New York City could only dream about, like views of Central Park and two terraces.

The larger wraparound terrace has its own swimming pool and jacuzzi next to the cabana and outdoor shower.

Besides the terrace, the primary bedroom also has two walk-in closets and a bathroom with heated floors and a bathtub.

Don’t worry — the other three bedrooms also have their own en-suite bathrooms too.

If that’s not enough to justify the over $74 million price tag, the home is also filled with high-end finishes, fireplaces, tall ceilings, and luxury appliances. In May, the apartment on the 22nd floor laso closed for $55 million, Katherine Clarke reported for the Wall Street Journal.
